Moluscum Contagiosum Treatment
1. What is the plant source of your products?
Our products come from the exudate from a tropical tree. The tree
itself is a trade secret, much like the Coca-cola formula :)
2. What makes your products active?
The exudate contains flavocin, which is a unique mix of hundreds of
phytochemicals produced by the plant. Phytochemicals are naturally-occurring
plant products with biologic activity.
3. I have a small child with a skin problem for which I want
to use one of your products. Are they safe?
The ingredients in flavocin have been used in children and have shown
positive results when it comes to both safety and effectiveness. However,
as with any skin product, you should observe the skin for any potential
reaction to any product.
4. What if my child ingests your product?
As with all products, our products should be kept out of the hands
of children. Flavocin has been ingested in the past for other indications,
and hasn't been associated with any severe reactions. Flavocin also
has a very bitter taste, so we would hope that a child would not want
to swallow it. If one of our products is ingested, we recommend contacting
your physician and having your child drink plenty of fluids.
5. Are there any allergic reactions to the product?
As our product is plant-derived, we caution users who are sensitive
to plant-derived products, such as latex, to be diligent when applying
the product, and to discontinue its use and report to us any skin
reactions they may have.
6. How do I use the products?
Our liquid products should be applied to the affected skin two - three
times a day depending on the indication. A drop should be applied
to each affected area, rubbed in gently with a fingertip until it
turns white, usually about 10-15 seconds. It will then dry quickly,
and fade into the skin. Until it dries, it has the ability to stain
clothing, so we caution users to not bring the wet liquid into contact
with clothing. It does not stain the skin. You do not need to cover
the treated area. We recommend washing the area to be treated and
allow the area to dry before applying our product (i.e. post-bath
or shower, and other times during the day).
7. I am pregnant or nursing. Can I use the product?
As with any medical product, our products are not recommended for
use by pregnant or nursing mothers.
