Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the plant source of your products?
Our products come from the exudates of a tropical plant.

2. What makes your products active?
The exudates contain a unique mixture of hundreds of phytochemicals, termed flavokine™, produced by the plant. Phytochemicals are naturally-occurring plant products with biologic activity.

3. Are your products safe for small children?
Our flavokine™-containing products have been used on small children and have shown positive safety and efficacy results. As with any skin product, however, you should observe the skin for any potential reaction and store the product out of the reach of children.

4. What should I do if my child ingests your product?
Flavokine™ has been ingested in the past for other indications and has not been associated with any severe adverse reactions.  Flavokine™ also has a very bitter taste and it is not expected that a child would want to swallow any of our products.  If ingested, we recommend contacting your physician and having your child drink plenty of fluids.

5. How do I use the product?
Our products should be applied to affected skin two to three times per day, depending on the indication.  Washing and drying the affected area before applying a product is recommended.  If using the liquid product, one drop should be applied to each affected area and rubbed in gently with a fingertip until the color changes to white.  This takes approximately 10-15 seconds, at which time the product will dry and fade into the skin.  Until the liquid dries, it has the ability to stain clothing so we caution users not to bring it in contact with clothing.  It does not stain the skin and you do not need to cover the treated area once the product has dried.  Cream-based products should also be gently rubbed in to the affected area(s) and allowed to dry.  Washes and Shampoos are to be used per normal guidelines; lather-rinse-repeat.
